Larrington trailers have been manufacturing trailers since 1972 by the well known Ray Larrington, former chairman of LAMMA, but since 1994 his son, Richard Larrington, re-started the business in traditional footsteps, building the best quality and selling direct to the farming fraternity.
In 2008 Richard invested £250,000.00 in new processing equipment including an 8m plasma, 8m brake press and overhead gantry crane. During the last four years the new machinery has been used to produce and design one of the most advanced, technically thought out trailers on the European market.
Larrington's have pushed the design of the Rootking and Majestic trailers by folding and forming a lighter and stronger chassis, patenting the design and proving that the trailers chassis is much stronger than similar sized trailers made from standard box section that other manufactures use.
The interlocking side post, full cover mudguards, hydraulic taildoor locking clamps, new "Eye" vision front and the latest being the easy floor position rollover sheet, is pushing the boundary of design, make the use of this trailer simple for the operator, fully tested to all the road regulations, making it one of the best trailers to pull down the road and across the land.
NEW HARVESTER MODEL FOR 2012
Yet with all the innovation going on "Larrington's" have not stopped. The Lamma show will see the introduction of their latest range of trailers called "Harvester". This new 12/14 and 16 ton trailer range is cad drawn and designed to give a good clean shape with folded body lines, curved mudguards, excellent front vision and a new high clearance locking taildoor.
The "Harvester" is aimed at the lower cost end of the trailer market, providing excellent value for money and directly competing with other manufactures. To push this product forwards Larrington trailers are no longer selling direct to the end user, all of their tested trailer products will be purchased through the dealer trade. This is another significant move by the company to increase sales and compete in an already busy market.
Peacock & Binnington have been chosen to represent Larrington Trailers in the North of Lincolnshire, and have committed to the purchase of several trailers for the 2012 season and the new range of "Harvesters" gives them a very competitive edge over other manufactures, and whilst the manufacturing market dwindles in the UK, P&B are very pleased to be able to help Larrington trailers, who are based at Boston, increase their sales and expand the business in this area.
