Since it was founded in 1976 by Keith Burton the Simba name has been closely linked with Strength, Quality and innovation.
Peacock and Binnington are proud to have been part of the growth and development for the majority of those 35 years.
From the early days of Subsoilers and Disc Harrows Peacock and Binnington and Simba have supported one another in the field of cultivation and Drilling.
Now in 2011 Simba has entered a new chapter under the name of Simba Great Plains following the acquisition of Simba by the American giant.
Peacock and Binnington have embraced this new venture which will see the manufacturing, development, training, Sales and Parts facilities at the Sleaford Headquarters grow and develop. Peacock and Binnington have also expanded the commitment by way of an extended trading area to include Lincolnshire, Nott’s and Yorkshire where we will take the current range of Simba Cultivation and Drilling equipment forward through our dedicated Parts, Sales and Service teams to ensure the next 35 years are as prosperous as the previous for both companies.
The current range of Simba machinery caters for the full spectrum of customers from the 3m Express with a 130hp requirement to the SL700 Disc/Tine/Press single pass machine needing 400 to 600hp and any number of variations in between.
With regards to the current drill situation, we are looking forward to demonstrating (and selling) the first drill to come from the Great Plains / Simba stable, after extensive testing and field work, in Spring 2012.
Overall the combination of Peacock and Binnington and Simba Great Plains to coin an historic phrase are the perfect Cultivation and Drilling “Driving Force” for the future.
